"Big Top and the Blues" tells how a family finds ways to stay closely connected when the father travels for his work. In this instance, the father is a touring musician.  The book conveys the love that the family shares, and the way that small, thoughtful creative actions can have a powerful effect.

The story also playfully introduces children to one of the most important foundations of American culture, the blues. The book, beautifully ilustrated by Nina Norwood, includes an audio CD of an original blues song for families to enjoy called "Miss My Mama Blues", performed by Michael Hill and Friends.  $15 including postage and handling.
