Please join us for The Bailey’s Cafe Experience, while we honor Brooklyn Change Makers:  Black Veterans for Social Justice, Crown Heights Mediation Center, Dance Theatre Etcetera, Yonnette Fleming, Groundswell Community Mural Project, 651Arts, and Urban Bush Women. 

Where:  The Hattie Carthan Community Garden and Market, Marcy Avenue, between Clifton Place and Lafayette Avenue

Live music provided by Michael Hill’s Blues Mob and special guests

Food provided by local restaurants and Bailey’s Cafe. 

Tickets $50.  All proceeds go to support Bailey’s Cafe programs. 


Bailey’s Performance Troop at Red Hook Water Festival

Bailey’s Cafe Performance Troop will present a student-created improvised theater/movement piece–"The Color of Love," at the 17th Annual Red Hook Festival at Louis J. Valentino Jr .Park.  The event is presented by Dance Theatare Etcetera and features La Excelencia, Decadance Theater, and the M.U.G.A.B.E.E. along with community youth groups, and a variety of waterfront activities.  Admission is free–just bring a blanket or a chair. 

LUG (Living Urban Green) Your Share Performance and Presentation at Brooklyn Student Advisory Council

Members of Bailey’s Cafe Performance Troop and youth members of our green program–L.U.G. (Living Urban Green) Your Share will present to students and Coordinators of Student Affairs from Brooklyn high schools on Tuesday, May 25th at Paul Robeson High School.  The skits focus on facts about going green and on character building.
