Ray “Johnny” Reid Needs Our Support

Bailey’s Cafe’s Emergency Health Care Fund is accepting donations to aid Ray Reid,

an original member of the “Crown Heights Affair,” in his fight against cancer.

Crown Heights Affair is an R&B Group that originated in Brooklyn back in the 70’s. They have a catalog of music to their credit including: “Dreamin a Dream,” “Dancin,” “SureShot” and “Say a Prayer for You,” just to name a few.

In addition, Ray is a song writer and producer having produced and written songs for artists such as:
France Joli
Amii Stewart
Unlimited Touch
Audrey Wheeler
Darnell Williams
Taana Gardner

As an avid educator, Ray has worked throughout his life to teach music and performance to children and young adults.

Many in the music world are aware that Ray Reid is currently challenged by cancer.  Bailey’s Board member, Rodney Rahim Deas, a dear friend of Ray’s, started this campaign to assist Ray in his time of need.  All donations will serve to offset Ray’s medical costs.
