St. Luke and St. Matthew is a vibrant Episcopal church in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. We’re committed to serving our neighbors, and we work for justice in our city, nation, and world. We welcome you to worship, pray, sing, learn, grow, and serve with us.

During the spring and summer of 2013, Bailey’s Cafe, with the support of the Citizens Committee of New York City, were able to commission Sophia Dawson, visual artist, to create a mural dedicated to the legacy of Paul Robeson, both the man and the high school which was closed during the Bloomberg era and where Bailey’s founder taught for 22 years.  The Church of St. Luke and St. Matthew graciously allowed us to paint the mural on the side of the church that faces Vanderbilt Avenue.
