Fort Greene Council, Inc. (FGC) is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization established in Brooklyn, New York in 1973 and incorporated in 1974. The Council’s strives to provide services at several stages of the life cycle, at the beginning with our early childhood programs, and through the conclusion with our programs for the elderly. In Brooklyn, FGC provides services to the elderly from 13 senior centers in seven community districts, one day care center, and one after-school program. In 1990, we launched JAZZ 966 to promote jazz in the community for seniors and the public at large.
