Tanya Evans, Founder – Survivors Out Loud and Ayah by Tanayah; Licensed Masters Social Worker, Assistant Director of Field Education and Adjunct Faculty at CUNY Hunter Silberman School of Social Work Ordained Minister, Certified Immanuel Prayer Coach, Director of Community Planning

Tanya began serving in the area of intellectual and developmental disabilities, trauma informed care and with youth and families. She has worked in human services for twenty-seven years. Her areas of focus include advocacy, counseling, teaching, creative arts, spiritual guidance, and facilitation of healing and/or educational workshops. Tanya is a naturalist and has a passionate heart for healing, liberation, restoration, and social justice for the diaspora worldwide.

Tanya serves as a trainer in collaboration with the founder of This House Has a Door. She served as a volunteer with New York City COVID Cares Network. Survivors Out Loud is her artistic platform rebuilding family, community, and bringing awareness from darkness to light. Ayah by Tanayah is her natural shea butter lotion and body care essentials product line.

Tanya has been part of Bailey’s family and leadership, serving in a variety of capacities, since 2019.
